Review content:
People had downed this hotel in many reviews I'd seen prior to going. I decided to stay there, anyway, based on price for that location (we were going to Assateague). It used to be a Days Inn, so if you like those hotels, it's still the same building, for crying out loud - just ran by different people. The only complaints I had were that they forgot the caffinated coffee packet for the coffeemaker in the room, and the TV remote needed batteries. So I marked them down a peg for a little lack of attention to detail. I probably could have solved both issues by talking to the front desk, but I can move my happy @$$ over to the TV and they serve coffee in the lobby, even if you don't get down during breakfast hours (which, sadly, was something like 6-9, and they lock that room afterwards - also a slight markdown for the inconvenient time). But they tell you that up front, so it's your own fault if you don't get there in time. Friendly's and McDonald's nearby serve breakfast til 11 if you get up a little late, and 11 I believe was check-out time, anyway, so there you go. The sink had nice metal handles with granite countertops, the room had a microwave and fridge, firm beds. It's the basics, no frills, but great for the price in that area. There were no punched out screens from the windows, it had working A/C despite others' claims otherwise, no rust all over the fixtures or stains on sheets or paper-thin walls, as has also been claimed. I think other hotel owners are trying to give this place a bad rap and make their places look better so they can charge more. This was a good hotel for the money in this area, and I would easily stay there again.
