Review content:
It's getting harder and harder to find a good LDS in the Bay Area during these tough economic times. I think something like 4 shops have closed down in the past year. Luckily, Bay Area Scuba is still going strong. Scott, the owner, is a bit eccentric, but he's a great guy who has a load of experience in the diving industry. He's also a guy that prides himself on his perfect safety record, which I consider the most important aspect of this business.\r
I recently tagged along during one of the open water pool sessions (conducted in a huge, heated, covered pool 5 minutes from the shop), and I was impressed by the level of personal attention each student received. In fact, I'm considering doing an instructor course next month through his shop.\r
Also, relatively cheap prices for his courses and gear. And he let me fill my tank for free, which is always a nice bonus.\r
The shop is kinda hard to find, but luckily you can just set everything up on the phone or on-line.
