My wife and I had owned our house for about ten years and never encountered anything in the way of serious problems. That good luck streak came to an end, however, as we started to notice odd growths and coloration on some of the wood beams and structures of our house. Now, our place is almost entirely wood, so we began to worry that it could spread and cause damage to the house. After calling Roadrunner over to do an examination, the service technician told me that the house was infected with fungi rot. Turns out we had something called ""Decay Fungi"" which can eat a way at the strength of wood. We have two children so the thought of a house that wasn't structurally sound was terrifying. Thankfully, the people at Roadrunner took care of the mold and there is now no evidence that it ever existed. If you find yourself in a similar situation, I would definitely recommend their service.
