Review content:
I visited Dr. Ead's office today and left feeling like my time would have been better spent enjoying a root canal. I thought things were a bit 'off' when he didn't bother to introduce himself or ask my name. But, I understand that modern medicine is different and doctors are often harried and overworked. So, I shrugged it off and explained my situation. The doctor's response was exceptionally cool and aloof. He essentially dismissed my concerns and went so far as to say ""most people would think [my concern] was a good thing."" Way to make a patient comfortable, Dr. Eads. In total, he spent about 5 minutes with me and when I asked if we could do a follow up over the phone because I live about 1 hour from his office, his response was, for a professional, incredulous: ""I don't do that. I'm not going to, like, call you up and say, hey, how's your [concern]."" He followed that with, ""So, do you just want me to give a year's worth of the prescription and you can call me when you need something?"" I was frankly surprised and muttered something about not being sure. He then said, ""Well, then what DO you want?"" I told him that I was sort of relying on his professional advice to develop a plan. Apparently that was also not part of what he did. Funny me, I had expected a mutual process of negotiating what might be a reasonable compromise. Instead, I felt like I was an imposition and his thinly veiled disgust ensured that I will not be following up at this office.
