I drive an hour to go to the Sunday Brunch at Indus. Sure I plan to do other errands in the area but I manage to make an excuse to be there once a week. When Sunday rolls around I feel the need to be at brunch. But, if the feeling comes over me any other day of the week, I know there is a buffet just waiting for me! \r \r The waiters treat me like family and the food is delicious. When I visit alone for lunch or brunch I like to sit on the bar side of the restaurant and watch Bollywood movies and dance scenes on the oversized movie screen while I dine. If you are looking for a relaxing and more calming experience, you can opt to sit in the dining room in the oversized booths, where the atmosphere is peaceful and soothing. The two are in close proximity and so if you have a guest who simply must see a TV, you can arrange your seating accordingly.\r \r The chefs of Indus create innovative dishes with new twists on old favorites. Many regions of India and the cuisine are available. There are few Indian choices near my home so, I make plans to travel to Indus often. The lunch buffets are filled with many choices and are constantly changing. The heartbeat of Indian cuisine, dahl, are always prepared rich and aromatic, fresh and cooked perfectly. \r \r I have sampled different dishes which I have never seen on other Indian buffets like Soy Masala and Green Bean Sabzis which I have not quite figured out the ingrediants of, but I can tell you I love them! Indus always finds a way to pleasantly surprise me, offering favorites which I have not seen before or for many years since I lived in Arizona like Pongol, and Curd Rice. \r \r Those of you who really know Indian food, especially vegetarian style, are saying "Big deal!" but living where I am in Jensen Beach, I can't even find decent nan! Which brings me to the breads. All I have to say is: Yum! Indus offers more than just Nan. You can also find Paratha, Roti and Puri.\r \r The soups are smooth and comforting, The Biriyanis fluffy and fragrant. There are plenty of main course choices for Vegetarians like me and their meat-eating friends. On the menu at Indus you will find, Masalas, Kofta, Tandoori, Lamb, Lobster, Fish and Shrimp. If there is something you really want or have the need to add or subtract an item for the recipe you are considering, the chefs are happy to oblige. \r \r Are you a Dosa freak like me? You will have a hard time choosing between the crispy Dosa filled with mellow Masala potatoes, The Uttapam or the Idli served with some of the best Sambar I have ever sampled and of course coconut chutney.\r \r Save some room for desert and promise me you will order the Rasmalai. I know you love Kheer and Gulab Jamun, they are there, but please try these delicate Rose scented cooling snow-white patties of love. Ask the waiters and they will tell you these are their favorites! I have seen the staff seemingly float up off the floor when describing these!\r \r Let me know you try Indus. Tell them Ambika sent you.\r Enjoy!
