DO NOT BOOK THIS MOVER...READ BBB COMPLAINTS FIRST! I WISH I DID!\r \r Service to move my items was scheduled well in advance and was confirmed before the moving date. On the day of the move, they were to arrive at 8:00am and it was now 30 minutes and no mover. I called Mid Cities and Mark answered the phone like I woke him up. He told me he did not follow through on adding me to the schedule. I explained that was unacceptable as I am awaiting to have my items moved and appointments later this day. He told me it wouldn't be until at least noon to get anyone out. Since I was now stranded without a way to get my stuff moved, I told him to please have someone here as soon as possible.\r \r Two guys showed up at 12:15, exhausted from another move prior and proceeded to start the moving process. They were unaware that this was now 4 hours later than what was scheduled but said they would try to be quick. I told them that I would resolve the lateness with the owner directly tomorrow. I was charged for 4 hours of moving when it took only 3 hours of work telling me they charge an additional hour for driving 3 miles! This business is in my same town too! I was also told I had to pay cash. This is not advertised on their website ANYWHERE, nor was I told over the phone..or before the move started. I had to then run to the ATM and pay fees for taking out the cash.\r \r The next day (today) I called the owner Mark to discuss being credited for the 4 hour delay of my move. I explained that that time cost me a long setback in getting my other moving errands and deliveries in place and I felt paying full price -- plus their unreasonable fee was unfair.\r \r He responded sarastically and rudely telling me that I should have just refused his services and that he was not going to provide me any credit. He told me just that it was ""too bad"". I asked again to have an hour's services credited to me and he again refused. I work in sales and this was the most unreasonable, unprofessional and arrogant person I have ever done business with. I would like to see this resolved reasonably. \r \r I see now that other complaints are filed with the BBB...I wish I had read these earlier.
