what a fun and delicious place this is! small and cozy, the first time i went there (years ago) i remembered having decent food but slow service, so i was hesitant to return. WELL, that would have been quite the mistake. as soon as you walk in you know you're in for something, and you hope it's something good - the decor is quite 'interesting' with all sorts of pieces of art and furniture dangling from the ceiling. after a few seconds you'll be *very* warmly greeted by their most excellent and nice servers, and it'll just keep getting better from there. seats aren't comfy and the tables are small, but those are the biggest and only complaints i can think of. the bread and oil/vinegar they put on the table is incredible, and filled with herbs and garlic. the soup i had was *so* amazing (roasted eggplant soup w/mushrooms), and the main course was perfect - chicken piccata in a nice lemon sauce with sides of asparagus and penne. but not too heavy on the penne, the chicken is definitely the main dish. i was able to cut that chicken with my fork and easily finished every last piece, even though the portion sizes were generous. didn't have room for dessert but they had bananas foster, tiramisu, cheesecake, and more. did i mention the prices? most menu items were between $10 and $15 dollars. SUCH a good deal. i'm already planning on heading back there soon. that's my story and i'm sticking with it.
