I am writing about Ms. Charmaine Williams not only as a parent but also as an educator. Ms. Williams mentored my daughter Rose in her acting & modeling classes at Barbizon of Manhattan, NY. I believe success in working with children begins by understanding children. Ms. Williams has this keen ability to bring out the best in each child under her direction. Her personal warmth & enthusiasm for instructing children in the art of interacting and connecting with diverse audiences is monumental. I was delighted and pleasantly surprised to see how my daughter evolved in her skills in such a short period of time under Ms. Williams tutelage. Charmaine Williams has the expertise to bridge cultural gaps while instilling in students the confidence they need to get inside their characters and project those characters emotions and feelings. She offers to children of all ages and ethnicities her viewpoints and experiences better enable them to weather the tough real world of the entertainment industry. Most of all, her spirit of openness, honest feedback, consideration, and respect for all of her students strengths gave everyone a chance to shine. She has the uncany ability to match each student with an appropriate role allowing that student to put their best foot forward. I speak not only as a satisfied parent but also as an educator who has been an elementary school teacher and principal for many years that the message Ms. Charmaine Williams sends is that every child is important to her. She does that quite simply by showing each and every child the loving support to turn their raw talent into polished product to succeed in the entertainment field
