Review content:
I got laid off and lost insurance during my pregnancy. Prior to the lay-off I had neither a good or bad review of Dr. Lopentine. He was just okay. After the lay-off and change to government Medicaid, my appointments became rushed and very cold. At one point he even inquired about my insurance coverage, "Are you still on Medicaid?" This was odd because never before had a doctor asked me about my coverage. Those questions are typically covered at the front desk prior to seeing the doctor. No doctor since has asked such a question of me. Additionally the rule about no small children in the waiting room is bizarre and not family friendly. It was a pain trying to find child-care so that my husband and I could go to the appointments together. Eventually, we gave up and I went to most appointments by myself. Southern Cresent Women's Healthcare is a much better option. They have a diverse non-judgemental staff.
