I was a patient at West Augusta OB/GYN from 1994 until 2001. I received excellent care. I always felt like Dr. Byars really listened to me. No question was too "stupid" and I never felt like they rushed me through. He delivered three of my children. While the answering service is not top notch, the doctors are. In the previous review, they mentioned PVC and PAC; these arrhythmias are common. There are many things going on in pregnant woman's body that can influence these arrythmias. I don't know for sure but I bet Dr. Goldsmith reviewed the charts and did not see an emergency. Granted the situation could have been handled better on both sides. The previous reviewer also said that the hospital told her this information and to tell her doctor. Obviously the hospital didn't think it was an emergency either or they would have kept her there.I have always been pleased with the doctors and their office staff.
