So I bought a super cheap dress ($140) from David's Bridal and needed to just get it hemmed. Took it to Ava and she was super nice and pinned my dress where it needed to be hemmed to. I tried asking for a price before I left and I got the "I need to look it over and see what I'm dealing with and will call you in a day or 2." answer. That should have been my red flag. I get a call 2 days later with a quote of $225! For a hem! I told her I could not afford that and went right over and picked my dress up for her house. I ended up taking it to a local dry cleaners instead. So disappointed.
