I went here with some friends of mine who live nearby. I'm happy to say we had a very nice dinner, despite my hearing mixed reviews previously. The standouts of the evening were Kampachi served on Himalayan salt, pork cheek, sablefish with maple syrup and sake (it sounds strange but it really works) and steak frites. We brought our own wine, but I did thumb through the wine list - it is excellent. We ended with the fabulous blueberry pie, and yes, it is the chef's mom's recipe. Absolutely delightful.\r

Service was very cordial, and our waitress was lovely. Overall a solid experience, and I will definitely stop by again if I'm back in Santa Monica.
