I was referred to this practice for hip and knee problems. It's quite obvious when you look at me that I'm overweight--I'd love to lose some but I can't exercise because of frequent falls due to (what turned out to be) a knee joint that has NO cartilage in it whatsoever. However, Dr. Lovell's assistant, explained the problem to me but then said that they wouldn't fix my knee for me because I was too heavy. He had to know before conducting the examination that they would not help me. Why even do the exam? I think they just wanted to sucker me out of my copay.
