Review content:
This veterinarian is definitely in it for the money. My first experience with this vet was using their grooming services. I spoke to the receptionist to find out if I needed to bring anything. They told me no past records were needed; however, after arriving there with my two dogs in hand the same lady I spoke with told me that they could not perform the grooming without their shot records. I asked if I could drive back and get them and was told no. Since I was irate I called back after getting home and the same lady changed her mind and then said she would check with the groomers to see if I could get in, and she said to come back. After driving back and dropping my dogs off and picking them up I was given my bill, about $20 over what I was estimated. I asked why, and was told it previously was only an estimate based on the size and was then taxed (I have 2 boston terriers, which are very small). I then later went to the vet for an annual check up for my female dog. We had a heartworm check done during this visit. I tried to order my medication from 1-800Petmeds. Petmeds tried to verify that the heartworm check came back negative, but the vet refused to approve the prescription. I called the vet and was told they do not approve online pharmacies. I then asked to have the prescription written, and they stated that they do not write prescriptions and never have. Although not illegal, this is against the ethics policy for the American Veterinarian Association. They fear competition and the possibility of not making MORE $$$$ by inflating prescription costs at their office, and their receptionist is not only incompetent but also an idiot. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET RIPPED OFF.
