My cat was straining in the litter box without being able to urinate and was in obvious distress. I looked online for the number to the only emergency clinic I knew of, the Cobb County emergency clinic on 41 in Marietta. Fortunately, I pulled up the reviews here and saw that they were getting horrifyingly bad reviews. Out of desperation I called Westside Animal Emergency Clinic. (It was 6:30 am on a Sunday.) I told them what was wrong and they told me to bring my cat right in. The visit was $72 including the exam, which is much cheaper than the $95 it costs to walk in the door at the other clinic. As soon as I arrived, my cat was examined. Fortunately he urinated and the blockage came out while he was there and there was no need for surgery. While I waited, I heard meowing from the hallway and a large orange and cream kitty entered the room authoritatively and insisted on sitting on my lap to knead and purr and provide comfort.( I told the woman at the front desk that this was a nice t
