Review content:
Highway robbery is what I have experienced with Shively Animal Clinic. I have a Doberman with severe epilepsy. He is on a large amount of phenobarbital twice daily which my regular vet writes a script for that I get filled for $20 at Kroger but Shively will only dispense through THEIR pharmacy which costs $140 for a lesser amount of medicine. He is also on Potassium Bromide which my vet gets for me through Wycliff in Lexington and charges me $160 for 500 capsules. \r
Shively charges me $460 for the same amount of medicine.\r
When I made comment that at those prices I would have to continue care with my regular vet and only use them for emergency services the office manager got real pissy and said I had to make a decision between my regular vet and Shively Animal Clinic and that they would NOT see me if I continued care with my regular vet.\r
So to sum it all up, if you have a special needs pet that will require serious medicine Shively will take serious advantage of you.\r
