Review content:
My father has been a resident of the center since July of 08. In that time we have seen the staff to resident ratio be cut drastically, leaving the residents in the memory care unit at risk. During most waking hours there is one staff member and 13-16 residents. These residents need assistance with dressing, toileting and feeding. When you have only one person in the unit and they are dealing with one residents dirty diapers, who is helping the other residents? Did you know that instead of giving Loving Care - the employee in the unit also does laundry - mops the floor - and serves dinner. I would highly suggest that before you place a loved one in the care of this facility.. spend a few afternoons observing. I want to say the staff does the best that they can - they just need more help! The Sanctuary keeps saying how things will change but they are just making empty promises.
