I stopped in the shop yesterday to trade in a Ferndown pipe and was very pleased with my experience. It was my first time in the shop and Arnold is about as old school as you can get for a tobacconist. The shop is small but does quite a bit of business. In the half hour or so that I was there, about ten customers trickled in and out the door. His trade was extremely fair. For the pipe I had, I traded for three other pipes, a Savenelli church warden, a Peterson system pipe, and a vintage 1967 Dunhill (same as Sherlock Holmes had in the first remake). His pipe tobacco blends were also top notch and more affordable than I have seen in many other shops. I worked for one of the biggest pipe, cigar, and fine tobacco retailers in Texas, and can tell you that the prices, service, and customer experience at Carousel can't be beat by any of the big chain tobacco shops. Stop by and see Arnold, you'll be glad you did. I know he has a customer for life after my visit.
