Review content:
My one and only experience at The Melting Pot was a birthday gathering. I assume it was because of our somewhat large (8) party that we, too, got shoved into that corner table like the previous reviewer - I'm assuming it's the same table. Our waitress was very helpful and courteous. The service is what I expected at a more upper-crust establishment, so no complaints there. My complaint mainly has to do with the fare itself, namely the wine, beer and other spirits and liquers. It is VERY overpowering. So much so that I gave up about two bites into the appetizer and changed my main entree choice to the bullion (had originally chosen coq au vin). The dinner, cooked in the bullion, was somewhat bland but was acceptable. The dessert wasn't anything to write home about. They do, however, offer a nice selection of iced teas. Overall, I was underwhelmed and most likely will not be returning.
