I recently brought my dog to VCA Old Town because he was suffering from heart problems. They charged me $600 to diagnose him only enough to refer him to a cardiologist. The cardiologist was surprised to see the amount of tests they ran and I found out most were unneccesary by another vet. They also put him on a diaretic to clear fluid that was in his lungs. After a few weeks on the diaretic I was leaving on vacation with my dog and tried to get a refill. Out of nowhere they said they could not refill without another full exam. I tried to explain that I did not have time or the money and they refused to fill the perscription and also said that it was probably not neccesary. Talking to Dr Pohl about this is like talking to a brick wall - after every question she would simply repeat the same thing in her usuall rude way of talking down to people.
