I realize the constraints of building-size with regards to pet store animal facilities, however, I was very unhappy with the manner in which ferrets, puppies, and kittens were encased. I believe the business relies on the quick sell of these animals and so they are often squeezed into a smaller facility than appropriate. They ferrets, in particular, were kept in an class terrarium, one level, with no litter box or beds. Approximately 10 ferrets were kept in a 30 gallon tank and that is not nearly enough room for these animals to remain happy and healthy. I was told the store was holding extra ferrets for a "sister store" that they had combined their purchase with. The excess ferrets would be "shipped out" within a week. In the mean time, they were left to step over each others feces and bath/drink from one small water bowl. I will no longer purchase supplies from this pet store as I do not want to support this type of treatment.
