Review content:
No matter what time of year, this is a perfect outing for kids of all ages. The Rainforest can be entered on its own or you can pay a higher admisstion and enter both the zoo and rainforest both for a full day.
The Rainforest takes approximately 60-90 minutes to tour in its entirety. It contains all sorts of birds, plants, monkeys, crocodiles, etc. It is housed entirely inside making it a nice getaway for a rainy afternoon.
The zoo itself has a rather large footprint, but the shuttle bus service makes it easy to traverse, even with a small child/stroller. The food service is a bit expensive, but there is a MacDonalds, KFC and picnic areas that make it affordable if you're on a budget.
If you go, be sure to save a few extra dollars to feed fish to the seals. Take a stroll through the butterfly garden and take the train ride through the "Outback" and see the wallabies.
PROS: Affordable Family Fun!
CONS: Pricey Food Service, Lots of Walking
