More praise for Dr. Brundage. We took our dog in an emergency situation with a mystery illness that had been going on for 2 months and another vet was not being aggressive enough. We lucked out and got Dr. Brundage on our first visit and she had a clear game plan. When our dog didn't improve in 2 days, she strongly suspected something else, tested him, and she was correct. We know our dog's condition now and fortunately it's treatable. We're pretty sure he'd be dead if we hadn't switched vets and gone to her. \r \r Yes, vets cost money and it's a unexpected burden when you start racking up bills. But none of the charges were unreasonable and vet care in East Hawaii is far less than it ever was when I lived in the Bay Area. I have more respect for vets than ever before. Some other complaints about this place aren't based in reality. Vets simply cannot afford to treat every sick dog that comes in for free and with all the irresponsible people here it clearly happens all the time. These are
