Dr. Abernathy assisted our family in saying good-bye to our beloved Boxer, Gabby today...what a humanitarian. She has provided loving care for her for many years, treated and cured her from Cancer 3 years ago, diagnosed her renal failure and gave sound and caring advice about our options. She never pushed her opinions on us and gave us all the information we needed to make informed decisions. I've spoken with her late into the evening as she returned calls about Gabby's condition. This is so clearly a calling for her---not a job. She came to my vehicle today and explained what I may expect during the euthanasia and then very tenderly helped our girl drift off into the first peaceful sleep she's enjoyed for many days. She hugged me and offered her sympathy, saying that she's also walked in my shoes. The entire staff made today's visit endurable. If you want a vet who knows good medicine and can walk with you through the tough times, Dr. Abernathy is all of that and more. We buried our g
