Our Chihuahua started yelping one day and didn't want to eat or relieve itself. It was already after regular hours for most places and I happened to find a listing online for Animal Care Center in Plainfield that said they had all night Emergency Care. Feeling hopeful I called up and they invited us in immediately. We got there and spent an hour while they took x-rays. Apparently the doctor on duty didn't know anything about x-rays. Our inital fear that he had eaten a chicken bone was wrong but somehow the "anomaly" in the spinal cord was similar to "a glare on your windshield" as the doctor herself put it. She offered to give our dog a shot to sleep through the night which we agreed with so that we could see our own vet in the morning. All this cost us about $300.\r Took it to our own vet in the morning, complete examination with x-rays cost us only $34 and they right away identified the problem as a slipped disc after they took their own x-rays.\r \r Never going to Animal Care C
