My mother went to the emergency room at Oak Bend in Richmond Tx. They did a good job at the ER and she was admited to the hospital. However it went down hill from there. I could write a book on the problems this hospital has, Like most hospitals they all have good people and bad. But this hospital has a lot of bad. Mom was in pain most of the time with cancer,however they were treating her for an infection. She was in ICU and the first night the nurse call button did not work and the nurse keep telling my mom she was not pusing the button, the next day a tech came in to change out the entire board to fix the problem. This happen to us again, along with the monitors continuing to not function properly. The family took turns to stay with her while she was in ICU and in her room on the 5th floor. It would be wrong to say all the nurse were bad, there were some excellent and caring people on the staff. But there were some that were just awful. Mom has been in this hospital for 6 weeks. I
