Imagine this: Your kid flushes a toy down the potty and plugs it up. You call Bonney Plumbing and the guy they send out convinces your wife, who's home with two screaming kids, that you need a new toilet because he can't dislodge the toy from the bowl side. Your wife can't get ahold of you, so she takes his advice. Then, he installs a new toilet for.... $585!!!!! The old toilet was perfect, it just had a toy stuck in it that could have been removed from the bottom side.\r \r By the time your wife gets ahold of you, he's got the new toilet in, so it's a little late to have him remove it. Then, you chat with him about a PRV that needs replacing on the outside of the house. He says it'll cost $407 dollars, with the "preferred rate" that he's kindly giving you. It seems sky high, but he assures you that the metals in the PRV are very expensive these days. So, you just want it done, and you're not sure what the reality is, so you have him do it. Later, you realize that this part costs about $
