Review content:
On 2/28/09, my service animal, Hunter, alerted that I was having problems while at the Gainesville VA Hospital. After an EKG it was determined that I would have to be admitted. We lived 70 miles south, no family and no one to call to come get Hunter. A call to Animal Control was placed; he was going to the dog pound. After waking from surgery I was notified that Hunter had been placed with DVM Kristin MacDonald, of Suburban Animal Hospital, that he had rode in the Animal Van until a foster home was found for him. Dr MacDonald took it upon herself to take Hunter home with her. My next four days were relaxing in knowing that Hunter was not caged somewhere, but in good hands. Thank you Dr. MacDonald.
