As a former domestic automobile company employee and former diehard owner of several domestically made vehicles, I thought I knew, from an automotive perspective, what a quality car and car company was all about. One day, some time ago, I saw a very intriguing newspaper article that touted the quality of it?s cars and the service it?s customers all seemed to brag about. \r

At that time in my life, I was pretty confident that I was going to stay loyal to my former and preferred brand of car, up to my dying days until I ran headlong into two life changing events. Both events were related to our two primary family vehicles. Our four-door car and full-sized truck both developed catastrophic maintenance issues that the dealership would not acknowledge or help us remedy, despite the inherent warranty, my affiliations and their ability to issue some form of ?good will.?
