I had been thinking of trading in my SUV for a few months and replacing it with a more fuel efficient vehicle, but with maintaining a style and performance level I could live with. I reside in the Washington DC Metro area and commuting in and around the beltway is killer on gas. My previous purchases were mixes between Acuras and Nissans and I had simply grown tiresome of the Japanese offerings, so I knew I wanted to go European with my next purchase and test the waters. I did my own research on the Passat (V6 & TDI) along with the CC, and began calling VW dealarships local to me. It was frustrating to me as I was dealing with people who weren't listening to what I was asking and had only a singular focus on 'getting me on their lot' and skirting over my questions.
