I went to Camarillo Dental Group as it was a dental office covered by my insurance. The cleaning went well and the DDS was very kind in discussing the treatment needed. Then the woman from insurance/billing came in. The cost of treatment was to be over $8,000 for only half of my mouth! The crowns needed, a $250 co-pay according to my insurance company and policy book, were quoted as a $700 co-pay. Same gold under porcelain crown that I was to be paying $250.00 for. Because CDG uses only 'captec' brand crowns the insurance company's negotiated rates were not honored. While discussing this with the insurance company, I switched to a different local dentist. My new treatment plan is what Camarillo Dental Group was wanting and work needed on other teeth outside of CDG's quote. The new dentist, honoring the insurance's rates, is a huge savings. Over 70% less. Bottom line: Camarillo Dental Group does offer the bells and whistles but that's all they offer so be ready to pay. Because they only
