I attended this church around 2010 (the BA location), while I was in my late 30s, primarily because my parents taught me that if a Christian wants marriage, one should go to churches to find another believer, and not visit bars.\r

I was very put off by a female greeter at this church who I approached for directions, who assumed I must be a mother. \r
\r
I know this greeter did not mean offense, but it still annoyed me when I told her I was new and wanted to know where the adult singles class was, and she asked, "How many kids do you have?" \r
\r
Well none, lady, as I've never been married, and therefore have never had kids, or been divorced. \r
\r
It's not just this church that has this annoying tendency, though. Every time I go to a new church someone always assumes I've been married or had kids at some point - I have not been married or had kids, so stop making this assumption! It's rude and hurtful.\r
