Shimaki is a family run tailoring shop, located in the heart of Chula Vista on 3rd Ave. The shop is equipped with everything a seamstress might need to do some alterations. My first observation that that this small shop was full of stuff; and there were clothes hanging from every corner. \r There were about six sewing stations, with machines, spools of thread, measuring tape, pincushions, and other necessary equipment needed to properly alter clothing. Shimaki offers alterations and even dress making. As long as they?re not busy, they can even alter something for you right when you walk in unless, of course, it?s something that will take more than a few minutes to fix. When I arrived, there was a man who was being measured for pant alterations. He was quoted 5-8 minutes for completion. \r The Seamstresses at Shimaki have been awarded with plaques for a job well done on the creation uniforms, costumes, and dresses for different organizations. \r There are dressing rooms so you can
