Review content:
My experience with Moo's Machine shop is extremely bad. I had a tool made for pressing out the wrist pins from lycoming cylinders. I could have made the tool myself but decided to have Moo's do it. I estimated it would take me about two hours and at Moo's rate of $125/hr I was a better use of my time. The tool I picked up was incredibly inferior in workmanship and the bill was for 5 hours. The total with materials came to $794.00. The owner protested that it took him so much time because he had to "design" the tool. He finally admitted that he had "the boy", an apprentice I assume, make the tool. \r
I've had several fellow mechanics tell me since that they had similar experiences with MOO. Fortunately, there are other machine shops in Honolulu that do good work and don't charge outlandish prices.
