Review content:
Shira Kiku is run/staffed by a family who is very friendly and willing to offer advice on meal selection; they provide great service as well. The Korean dishes are excellent, dishes that should be spicy are and they are not ""dumbed down"" like other restaurants. The Bulgogi is excellent, as is the Kimchi Strew with Pork (spicy). Friend of ours who were stationed in Okinawa found the Ramen & Tempura dishes to be excellent as well. I've had the sushi several times and its great. The chef really takes pride in making it and it shows. The fish quality is top notch. They may not have hundreds of fancy rolls or fancy artwork/lighting/furniture like many sushi restaurants...but they make up for it in customer service and quality. We've been there several times so far and food/service is consistently excellent. I would also encourage those who have never had Korean to give it a try- Bulgogi would be a great beginner's choice- it's wonderful! I believe this location has hosted 2 prior restaurants, be aware of reviews that address them instead of Shira Kiku. Pros: Quiet, Clean, Excellent Korean, Fresh Sushi Cons: What are the drawbacks?
