VISIT: BF & I made our way on over to Ulta Beauty in Dublin's Hacienda Crossing Shopping Center mid August on a weekday after work 'cuz BF heard free Ed Hardy duffle bag giveaway w/ purchase of Ed Hardy fragrance. He's an Ed Hardy fan, or anything tattoo inspired & has become quite an influence on what I like too *tee-hee*.
STORE: Ulta Beauty (addy actually 4948 Dublin Blvd * Dublin, CA) is next to Old Navy & offers plenty of parking in shared lot w/ many other store fronts @ Hacienda Crossing. Clean, spacious, & bright single-level store offering TONS of beauty products for ladies & men from fragrances, makeup, skin care, hair care, & more. Pretty much a strong competitor to Sephora, which you'd find in most shopping (indoor/outdoor) malls. Prices are not competitive...their edge is the amount of various products they have.
CUST SVC: On our Monday after 5:30pm visit, the staff at this location were all friendly & helpful! Nothing about the ladies & gents working here was snooty in anyway w/ us...asked if we needed help finding anything & to let 'em know if we needed anything. No one was intrusive while we shopped more less, of fixing stands after we touched something. When I couldn't locate a perfume, lady employees were helpful to try & find it. I see other fellow Yelpers pretty much gave cust svc 2-thumbs down in the past for this location, but BF-Jayson & I were greeted & treated pleasantly...maybe mgmt read up on Yelp reviews & made some changes w/ their staff's attitude ;-)
SMELLS: So we basically came here to check out perfumes & colognes, so no insight from this review on their other depts (makeup, skin/hair care, etc). Perfumes & colognes are on the right side upon entrance with their displays similiar to Sephora. They had small luggage giveaways as well for fragrance purchases; small duffle bags w/ handles & wheels =) So about 1hr later we have 1 Ed Hardy cologne plus Ed Hardy duffle bag, 2 colognes / 1 perfume (Mariah Carey original my MUST HAVE) & 3 more duffle bags. Did we really need a duffle bag on wheels? Not really, but I took it since it was applicable *tee-hee*.
FINAL SPRITZ: My review of this Ulta Beauty location is that if you can't find yourself a Sephora in the area, stop on by here. Although if you don't need to smell a perfume/cologne & looking for a deal, order online at sites such as FragranceShop.c0m, FrangranceX.c0m, & others for ""pocket book friendly"" discounts =)
