My nightmare begin after the LASIK procedure. AAPECS Dr. Ronald B. Frenkel said I was perfect candidate for this procedure. After 9 months, my vision still 20/30 and 20/40, and one eye had blurry vision and the other, double vision. Also, there was a long fiber from a surgical sponge centrally sandwiched between my corneal flap in my right eye that could be seen by the naked eye. In my opinion, this is surgeon negligence. He told me he did not do anything wrong; the procedure went well and that he did not know why my vision was like that. Over one year has gone by, and I still see double in one eye, have blurry vision in another eye plus a fiber in my cornea. Even the fiber could cause future cornea infection, but because of the possibilities of introducing infection and/or corneal scaring I have to live with it for the rest of my life. I am still trying to recover from the physical, emotional, and financial damage that I have received from Dr Frenkel's LASIK surgery at AAPECS Eye Care Virginia Beach.
