BUYER BEWARE OF SAFEHOME PEST CONTROL IN CARROLLTON, TEXAS!! I don't know where to begin to recap the horrible experience we’d had with Safehome Pest Control in Carrollton, Texas. They con you into signing a 12-month contract and non-toxic pest control that does not work at all. In addition, the contract stated that they would come out every three months, but sometimes is was a few weeks and others it was several months. When I would call in to their office to complain, they could never locate my file and it was always a new excuse. One time it was because they had moved to a new office. One time it was a change in management and on and on and on. In three years, they’ve been in my home twice! They supposedly sprayed the outside three or four times, six maximum! After several failed attempts at treating our home for spiders and ants, I called their office and told them that I no longer needed their service. They called me a couple times after that and acted like they didn’t know I had canceled and I assured them that we did not want or need their service any longer. Fast forward a few months, maybe a year, ( I truly don’t know, because we’ve had no communication with this company) our American Express card renewed and with the new card came a new number. Apparently Safehome Pest was still charging our card all this time and when they were no longer able to, they turned us into a debt collector. This is a first, in my 57 years of life and we pay our bills like clockwork, but not to companies we don’t do business with. I ask you this, even cellphone companies only hold you to a two-year contract and it is sounding like Safehome tries to hold you to a lifetime contract or until your credit card expires and THEN they turn you into a collection agency. 1st Mistake: Husband signs contract with one of their door-to-door sales people and gave them our credit card number 2nd Mistake: Letting their pest control guy in my front door for the first appointment. He looked like an escapee from a state prison and covered in prison tattoos. 3rd Mistake: Letting them come back for a 2nd visit. This time without the tattoo guy and the treatment had no affect on the spiders or ants, inside or out. 4th Mistake: Not sending a letter of cancellation to Safehome pest Control and American Express. 5th Mistake: Not filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (will do that immediately!)
