Review content:
Duke passed away in April, which took a large toll on my husband. In retrospect, we had been billed for $123.00 from our local Vet that advised us to take him to the ER Vet. This local Vet had seen Duke roughly 6weeks prior to his death, and failed to diagnose/and or note there was such problem! Please read my letter and notify any animal owners in the area regarding Warrington Veterinary Clinic! Dear Dr Henderson: I am extremely hurt and mostly offended that you question my intelligence/common sense regarding the matter of Duke. Although I may not have the degree to prove me a doctor of Veterinary science, I DO however posses a degree of nursing along with the raising of farm animals. Based upon my previous knowledge, I do know that there should have been a Ultrasound /or Xray taken with contrast for Duke's initial diagnoses. Unfortunately, I held all my faith in the doctor whom overseen Duke's care to initiate tests that should have been ran. I followed up with Dr. McNeil, two days following Duke's appointment to learn of the results from blood work and determine whether or not further testing needed to be completed. During this conversation, I was notified that everything came back good on Duke minus a slightly lowered TSH I was charged in office at the time of service for Duke's appointment in the upward amounts of $260.00 to determine NOTHING regarding my suspicions of Duke's illness. Under no terms do I wish to question the judgement of a doctor, however find it extremely hard to believe that a tumor the size that Duke possessed was brought on within a 6 week period! In relation to a 53 mm tumor, that was factually benign, I find it extremely hard to find comfort knowing that Dr. McNeil did all she could previously for Duke! As most owners would tell you, our Duke was more than just a pet or a dog to us. Money was NO object when it came to Duke's health, and we wanted only the best for him! In regards to your comments of services rendered at the VRC,( not that it makes much difference) but more than $4000 was collected from us to try to save Duke's life! This measly bill of 123.00 for a last min diagnose from Dr. McNeil has NO comparison to the fees we endured and the heartbreak that this all resulted in. Furthermore, I am also extremely frustrated with the lack of respect to communicate with me regarding this issue until now. To date, I have made every attempt to contact your office manager to resolve this situation. Always getting the run around on how there were no answers for me, and how I would be contacted back. Never have I received a phone call back regarding this, and have always been the one who initiates communication. If this were a human that was misdiagnosed, there would be severe repercussion and I think that it is horrible that Vet's do not seem to take the same oath as regular MD. In hindsight, I can identify with your frustrations regarding others who have refused to pay for their deceased bill and wish for you to know our only reasoning is the $260 previous trip that obviously could have prolonged his life. Now that I know your thoughts regarding Duke's services, and care merely about money (obviously not about being a good service provider,) I will absolutely do everything in my power to steer the active animal community away from your business. With Veterinary services so readily available and expanding across the Pensacola area, its my assumption that business will become tough and competition will start to grow. I feel my thoughts of your clinic are only warranted to the safety of the animals, and/or owners who deserve the honesty. I also personally know, my two newest pups will not be seen by your clinic! Regretfully, Amanda Glasure
