Okay, check this out. \r My dentist Bobak Morshed recommended I have my metal fillings taken out and replaced about 3 months ago. \r I have it done as he said and I started having a lot of pain in my gums. Apparently, the guy had placed the new filling too close to a nerve and now i would need both a root canal done as well as a crown. \r This was going to be about $1500. \r \r Anyway, I went back with their accounting lady and she said my co-pay with insurance would be around $450. I told her I could not swing that right now, we'd have to just hold off for a while on scheduling it. \r Well, she said since the last procedure on that tooth was less than 6 months ago, she would go ahead and credit my account $300, making the total cost to me about $150. \r Well, I was thinking $1500 work for $150. Sounds like I better get this done, plus my gums were really in pain. \r \r Anyway, got the work done, was leaving and went by the front desk and the lady said my co-pay was $490. I told her that I had a $300 credit that must not have been added yet. She went back to the accounting lady and she returned and said, ""She said she never told you any such thing. Your total is $490 sir."" \r \r Bobak Morshed trick me to get me into the chair so they could get the insurance money, then they welch on their credit offer and hold me up for nearly $500. \r \r Worst than criminals. With nothing in writing, I guess I have no recourse, but this definitely sucks. If anyone knows the law or anything, do I have anything I can do about Bobak Morshed or just pay it and learn better next time? Cons: Thive, greedy, malpractice!
