With all of the negative press that smoking has gotten in the past few years, as well as the continued bans being enacted by governments, it's nice to find a shop that specialized in one of life's finer pleasures.\r \r Located in a historic house in Homewood, the Briary is a family owned and run smoke shop that has been around for years. Owner Skip Elliott and long-time manager John ""Farmer"" McCulloch are extremely knowledgable, friendly and eager to help. Offering a huge walk-in humidor, cases of high-quality pipes (including those made by Skip), a smoking room and countless accessories everyone is sure to find the perfect smoke.\r \r There is a regular clientele, many who have been patronizing the shop for years, that frequently gather in the smoking room. The conversations range to a wide variety of topics, from politics, religion, sports, etc. Everyone is made to feel welcome. I have made several lifelong friends just from hanging around and enjoying a smoke or two. Pros: Knowledgable staff, excellent choices, friendly customers
