Review content:
Though the two young men who came were as nice as they could be, I was a little disappointed with how unprepared they were. I had told Cain that we would try to move most of the closets ourselves, but that they should be prepared in case we weren't able. The guys had no garment boxes on the truck and said they'd have to charge me to go back to the store to get them. Nor did they have any boxes for my paintings. We had to move two closets and all the paintings ourselves. In addition, the guys complained about how heavy every piece of furniture was and made excuses for why they couldn't move this and that (they were well-trained in avoiding liability), so I didn't feel right asking them to move all of the boxes I had packed and ended up moving them myself. By the end of the day, they gave me the impression they couldn't wait to get out of my apartment. In my mind, a moving company should move everything without asking. I think it was just a lack of customer service training on their part or a sensitivity to any kind of liability on management's part. New Latitudes had come highly recommended, but I will not, in good conscience, be able to recommend them to others. I bought them lunch and tipped them because they did work hard and in terrible weather conditions, but I was not happy with the amount of resistance I received from them. I hired New Latitudes as the expert mover, but I ended up having to make a lot of choices and decisions myself, and personally moved far more than I had intended.
