Review content:
I've always wanted wild and crazy hair but my career choice would not allow it. I decided to take full advantage of being a full time student and stepped WAY over the line.
I donated my hair to Locks of Love to celebrate my 8 year anniversary of my cancer removal surgery and being officially declared cancer-free. That just wasn't a big enough statement, though.
Matt made my outlandish statement a reality. Bright orange hair at the ""donation site"" representing the kidney cancer I had and purple on the longer tresses representing I am a cancer survivor. Having only colored my hair once in a natural color, I had no idea of the challenge I presented to Matt.
Matt was amazing. Knowing I had ""virgin"" hair, he protected my skin from the chemicals and checked with me often to verify I was okay. He was a true artist as he worked through the problems of how to create the division of colors without having them bleed together. The results are AMAZING! It turned out better than I had imagined.
Everyone at Rage was friendly. I arrived early and the receptionist kept me company until Matt was ready. The two other stylists even chatted with me a little at Matt progressed with the coloring process.
The salon itself was beautiful and welcoming. From the historic warmth of the brick interior and windows to the next building inches away to the calming serenity of the waterfall at the top of the stairs and aromatherapy candles throughout. You must go to the salon as words and photos will not do it justice.
