I have taken my car into Chips Auto a total of 5 times for front end work and have spent almost $1500.00 on repairs and it's still not fixed. It still squeaks and road walks. They couldn't even get the steering wheel straight when they aligned the front end for the third time. They even tried to charge me double the standard charge for the alignment the first time saying it took them extra time to get it aligned. Even though a front end alignment is a flat rate charge at any shop. As for the squeak I was told ""those cars are known for that” and when I said it still doesn't drive like it should I was asked ""well how should it drive"". Well it should drive better than it did when I first brought it in. They also worked on the emissions because the check engine light was on. It took them all five times that I took the car in and $120.00 in parts plus the $89.00 they charged me to check it out. I was told again “those cars are known for that” when it took them so many times to fix it. Only to find out it was a hose that had become disconnected on the purge valve that was the problem. You would think as an experienced mechanic they would of check out all the connections on the initial check. I'm not sure about all of you but I will NOT be going back to this Garage again and I’m going to take my car into an ASE Certified Mechanic to check the work done by Chips Auto.
