Businiess name:  Auspicious Chinese Restaurant
Review by:  citysearch c.
Review content:
Went there a while back when it first opened and enjoyed the different take on Chinese food. Went again this evening and found it deplorable. Appetizer: Crab Rangoon - may as well eat fried paper towels. Soup: Corn - absolutely tasteless. Although it was served hot - a restaurant rarity Main: Sesame Chicken - nothing different than you would get at a take out place that dumps it from a pre-made can. Chicken with peaches: - this was the kind of dish that made the former ""Auspicious"" different. But the chicken was processed and the peaces were tasteless mush out of a can. Beef Stir Fry - their specialty - tired and boring - straight from a prepared restaurant supplier. And for this monotony I paid $70. = We could have gone to a China Palace buffet for $10 each for more and saved almost half. Stay away - Any one of the smaller Chinese local restaurants is a far better value - even the take away on Rittenhouse place. Side note - the service was a bit dull.
