Review content:
My wife and I had been looking for a dependable, honest and reliable repair shop for our 1995 Volvo wagon. After several fits and starts with various shops a neighbor recommended European Auto. They are by far the most honest and dependable folks I have ever worked with. Case in point, I perceived there was something wrong with the car and brought it in (the check engine light came on - a problem we have had with the O2 sensors). They looked it over for a couple hours and determined that there truly was not a thing wrong. After a line of inquiry from the mechanic he determined the sensor was tripped after we ran through a puddle, the sudden cooling effects of which confused the O2 sensor causing the "check engine" light to come on. Where other places would have charged me for some bogus "fix" they did not. In fact, they did not even charge me for the 2 hours spent diagnosing my perceived problem, even when I insisted they let me. Another time I brought the car in before going on a 6 hour family trip. I was told that I would not be allowed to leave the garage before replacing the front brake pads. I asked why and was shown the pads were worn WAY down. It is this kind of thoughtfulness and personal attention that has made me a loyal customer of John and his crew. I suggest you check them out yourself.
