Glen Burnie Ballys =Total Waste Of Time...... If you go to this location and expect a simple pleasure of a fan in a sweltering hot cardio area to be switched on... think again. The staff is so incompetent and knows nothing about customer service, the Manager Jason & ""Asst."" Manager Dallas are clueless. I had to battle it out with Ballys corporate, the district manager & the Glen Burnie manager ""Jason"" for 5 months to get a fan aimed at the cardio area. The ceiling fan above the cardio area I used every day was busted (spinning so slow it had a huge stack of dust on it.) They gave in & put a standing floor fan out at the cardio bikes. Then someone removed it because of a ""space clearance issue"" & I was back to square one. Then I called the district manager George & then Mgr. Jason had the busted ceiling fan replaced. Everything was fine I thought, until the other day. The new ceiling fan was not on... I asked the daft girl at the counter to turn on the ceiling fan I battled to have installed. I went back to pedaling for 5min & later no fan-I went back & asked again if she forgot to turn on the fan...she said she turned on a switch, I asked if she could check it again, went back to pedaling for 5min. and still no fan. I went back to talk to the girl & she had no answer, she blurted out that she didnt see the switch and then the ""assistant"" manager dallas came out and tried to act like some tough guy because I was asking about the fan - I had too many hard questions about the fan I guess. He did nothing to help me & as I walked away he yelled Your Welcome in a smartass way, I said thank you & also said you dont deserve a thank you as you did nothing for me. I put on my headphones & tuned him out then continued to workout. I went to the fly machine and he followed me over & said I ""disrespected his employees"" he asked me for my gym card and I refused, then He asked me to leave and I did. BEWARE!! I am so sick of Ballys that I will be selling my membership DIRT CHEAP!
Pros: Convenient Location-- but its not worth the hustle the Management doles out at Glen Burnie Gov. Plaza Ballys when you can just go to a different gym or buy your own equipment
Cons: Management IS THE WORST at this location ...BEWARE of Daft Employees
