At loss to find a decent dentistry in my neighborhood, I was referred by my dental plan (which I found out later only covered costs of exrays) to Garden Grove Dental Care as one of their preferred dentistries. \r First of all, the experience was unique to say the least. Get ready to sign your name away. If you sneeze, be prepared to initial or sign a paper. This operation is paranoic about being sued. \r After having my exrays done, which happily was paid by my dental plan, I was ushered into a room to get the lowdown on the costs of refurbishing my mouth. Firstly, I had a failed crown and had to have the remainder of my tooth pulled. I was quoted the price of $200.00 for this procedure. Then I was informed that it would cost an additional $5600.00 to bring my teeth up to par. This included three necessary crowns, multiples fillings and a partial upper plate. I didn't sign a contract as they wanted me to, but only agreed to have the tooth extracted for $200.00 as I stated earlier. An appointment was set for the extraction.\r When I arrived to have the extraction done, I was informed that the cost would be $495.00 instead, due to the fact that my insurance company wouldn't contribute to the extraction. That immediately sent warning signs to me, but since I was bound by the agreement and the appointment for the extraction, I went ahead and had the tooth pulled. (By the way, there is a $35.00 charge if you don't give a 24 hour notice for appointment cancellation).\r Needlesstosay, I found another local dentist and had my teeth done there. The results are: NO crowns and only 5 fillings with an upper partial plate complete and all at the cost of $1750.00 instead of $5600.00!\r
