Review content:
Barnes & Noble is probably one of those stores that every community has and over the years it has provided a number of services to the community without even realizing it.
They offer the usual B&N atmosphere of books and coffee. This particular store is spacious, has a good selection of a variety of books and magazines to choose from and has a lovely little Starbucks Coffee shop as well.
The coffee shop provides a quiet place to sit and enjoy Starbucks coffee, and it is always clean and well lit. The seats by the large windows offer a view of the parking lot, but you can see friends coming if you are waiting for someone to join you. Which brings us to the community services.
Many groups meet at this coffee shop. Ive seen everything from chess clubs to study groups to small groups with common interests meeting in the evenings at Starbucks. This is the perfect public place to gather without it being intrusive or out of control. And the staff is always courteous, as well as always providing the perfect cup of Starbucks coffee just the way you like it.
None of this interferes with the casual shopper browsing the book racks.
There is also a large restroom which has always been clean, well lit and fully stocked whenever Ive needed to use it.
And finally, what is a book store without the staff. As is customary for this store, the staff is courteous, knowledgeable and willing to help you locate any book you cant seem to find on the shelf. There is also an ordering service in case the book you are looking for is not in the store.
Add to this the Barnes and Noble discount card. While there is a fee involved in acquiring this card, the discounts Ive received using it more than make up for the annual fee I have paid.
This is a great little store in Ontario serving the Mansfield area.
