My wife is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and I, myself, have worked with agencies that provide services to at-risk youth. Needless to say, we are quite overprotective and over-cautious. Yet, we love this place. (The one on Cottage, can't vouch for the others.) We did an impromptu tour, I don't like scheduled tours b/c that gives the place time to clean-up and act right to get your business. Immediately we liked BoJ. Our daughter is 2 so we spent some time in the tour really assessing the various 2 year old rooms. First, all the teachers have longevity with BoJ, and by this, I mean one teacher has been there for 18 years and another for 5 years. So, not a lot of turnover. Also, the class sizes were quite small. Two ""+"" from the outset. After the first week, there was a language explosion with our child, especially in communicating her feelings, wants, and needs. I attribute this to BoJ. We've been using BoJ for a month now and the only negatives I have to say are typical for any child care environment: our little one got a drizzly nose and congestion after the first week (typical), and she picked up how to ""razz"" when she doesn't like something. (Not a huge fan of the stick out your tongue and spit.) Both of these are not abnormal, and I've seen our daughter's teacher redirect the ""razz's"" appropriately. I encourage others to check this place out.
